The Kiss Thief

It was New Year's Eve, and the city was alive with excitement. The streets were packed with people, all eager to celebrate the start of a new year.

Ashley was standing in Times Square, waiting for the ball to drop. She was with her friends, but she felt strangely alone. She had been single for a while now, and she was starting to wonder if she would ever find love.

As the clock struck midnight, the crowd erupted into cheers. Ashley closed her eyes and wished for a better year. Then, she felt a warm hand on her cheek. She opened her eyes and saw a handsome stranger standing in front of her.

"Happy New Year," he said.

"Happy New Year," she said back.

He leaned in and kissed her. It was a soft, gentle kiss that sent shivers down her spine.

When the kiss was over, he smiled at her and said, "I hope you have a wonderful year."

Then, he turned and disappeared into the crowd.

Ashley stood there for a moment, dazed. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She had just been kissed by a stranger on New Year's Eve, and it had been the most magical kiss of her life.

She spent the rest of the night thinking about the stranger. She tried to remember what he looked like, but her memory was hazy. She only remembered that he had dark hair and blue eyes and that he had a kind smile.

The next day, Ashley went back to Times Square, hoping to find the stranger again. But he was nowhere to be found. She asked around, but no one seemed to know who he was.

Ashley was disappointed, but she didn't give up. She started to search for the stranger online. She posted a message on a missing person's website, and she even hired a private investigator.

After a few weeks, Ashley finally got a break. The private investigator found security camera footage of the stranger. The footage showed him walking away from Times Square after the kiss.

Ashley was thrilled. She now had a lead. She tracked down the address in the security footage, and she went to the apartment building.

The stranger's name was David, and he lived alone. Ashley knocked on his door, and he answered.

When he saw her, he smiled. "Ashley," he said. "I'm so glad you found me."

Ashley smiled back. "I'm glad I found you too," she said.

They talked for hours that day. They talked about their lives, their hopes, and their dreams. They talked about the kiss, and how it had changed their lives.

By the end of the day, Ashley knew that she was in love with David. And David knew that he was in love with her too.

They started dating, and they quickly fell in love. They were married a year later, and they had a beautiful baby girl a year after that.

Ashley never forgot the New Year's Eve kiss that changed her life. It was the kiss that led her to David, the love of her life. And she was grateful for it every day.
